African-American Mental Health Issues

Tarring Down Stigmas With The Fostering of Knowledge on Mental Illness Awareness!

Welcome to African-American Mental Health Issues

My name is Nemasa Asetra and I am a person served with Mental Health Challenges.  I seek to share my story to shed light on the subject.  It seems the stigma surrounding mental health keeps many of us to face day to day challenges from mental health from achieving I highest potential.I hope that you will drop by this site often and that it will be a blessing to you.  I currently am an author and I have written several memoirs including a Recovery Story.  My plans for 2014 is attend my church's bible college.  And if you would like to give support through prayer and donations it would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Dear Family, Friends, Mentors and Elders:

I will be taking part in a life-changing program next year, in August of 2014, and I would like to invite you to help support me in this adventure.

Beginning on August 18, 2014, I will be participating in IBI, the internship program of City

Church of New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. This is a 9-month internship for a total of 4 terms (years) and will cultivate a desire  and ability to lead with honor and integrity as well as will continue to build a framework of righteous

character in me. The main purpose of this internship is to discover what it takes to be a leader

of excellence who has been called by God to truly change our world. I will be taking daily bible

classes as well as receiving practical ministry training in every aspect of my local church. I

am very excited at the ministry opportunities that will be given to me during my time at IBI in New Orleans.

During my time at IBI, I will not only be serving here at the church but also traveling to other

nations of the world to serve as a missionary and aid in global church planting. The cost of the

internship is approximately $8,000 plus the cost of the mission trip(s) that I take. This amount will include

the cost of my books, housing, training, utilities, and other events related to the program. I will

also need finances for food and other personal expenses.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider supporting me in prayer and finances as I

begin my first year at IBI. Your support, especially in prayer, is a key part of seeing lives changed

during my time at IBI. If you decide to become a member of my support team, please indicate

this in an email to: asetra45@gmail.com. I will be sure to keep in touch throughout the

year to inform you of the fruit of your investment. If you wish to receive these updates, please

indicate this in your email. If you are including a check, please make it out to City

Church of New Orleans. Your contributions are, of course, tax-deductible.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 504-600-8588 or asetra45@gmail.com

and I will be glad to answer your questions. Thank you so much for your

Consideration, in supporting me in the IBI Internship Program.

May God bless you richly!

Sincerely Yours,

Nemasa Asetra
